Eyelash Extensions Aftercare

After care is THE most important part of eyelash extensions. I apply the lash extension correctly to insure optimal bonding. Once you leave my sweet grips- its up to YOU to make sure you execute proper after care! The better care you take the LONGER they will last! Cleaning you lashes at least 3 times a week will guarantee and extra 2 week retention! Not touching them and continuous brushing them will also keep them on longer with feeling and looking excellent in between fills.

  • DO NOT get your lashes wet with in 24 hours after any eye lash extension services!

  • after 24 hours of your eyelash extension appointment, KEEP all Salts (sweat, tears, ect) off and out of your lashes! Clean your lashes with the Lash Cleanser! tears and sweat/salts will break down the lash adhesive and your lash extensions will just fall off your natural lash. Cleans daily if you can! At least 3 times a week to as often as you would like!

  • No use of oil based products around the eye area! Oil, gel and cream bases will break up the adhesive and your lash extensions will simply fall off your natural lash.

  • No use of mascara – If you use mascara it must be water soluble and only applying to tips, lightly. (I sell a $30 eyelash extension mascara that specially for eyelash extensions)

  • No use of eyelash curlers. (Special heated eyelash curlers ok)

  • No tinting or perming of the natural lashes while wearing eyelash extensions

  • No continuous tugging, rubbing or pulling on the eyelash extensions. The ONLY time you should be touching your lashes is with CLEAN fingers when CLEANING your lashes!

  • DO clean your lashes, especially after wearing makeup or have if you have excessive oily skin. Cleanse daily if you wear any make up, exercised, cried, got contact solution in your lashes, ect. Cleaning your lashes keeps them flexable and strong! cleaning them removes salts, dirt, bacteria and other culprits that break down the glue! Thus giving YOU longer lash retention!!!

  • Dont blow-drying hair & eyelash extensions (extensive heat on lashes could distort the shape of the extensions)

  • DO cleanse your lashes and dry with a lint-free cloth and gently press up, underneath your lashes to ‘re-fluff’ them. Please see the linked video on the home page on Cleaning and drying your lashes!

  • It is normal for the client to experience the loss of a few lashes during the first 24hrs after the application.

  • Be gentle with the lash extensions, avoid tugging and getting them caught on clothes and towels

  • Never pull off the eyelash extensions as this will pull out your natural eyelashes

  • Gently comb through the lashes multiple times daily to maintain a good appearance

  • Schedule your appointment within 1 weeks of your initial eyelash extension procedure for infill

  • If an allergic reaction is suspected such as swelling, redness or puffiness, we’ll need to remove the eyelash extension an you’ll report to your Doctor immediately.
